While serving one MISSION with the Dr. Deng Diing Foundation, Aid and Care, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization born from the legacy of the former lost boy of Sudan, a refugee, survivor of genocide , war, starvation, and thirst, Dr. Deng Diing, who, through his life trials and tribulations, developed a passion for helping people who are vulnerably experiencing unjust suffering restore hope and empower their lives by assisting them with access to education, healthcare, and other imperative resources in East Africa.
Since 2008, Aid and Care has helped meet the needs of people who have been affected by war, genocide, natural disasters, poverty, and famine. Over the past 15 years, Aid has demonstrated its ability and managed to
Build and renovate two schools and an orphanage in South Sudan; sponsor 40 orphans education in Rwanda; and support 70 orphans in Ethiopia.
Due to financial limitations, the organization ceased operations in Ethiopia and Rwanda in 2013 to focus on South Sudan, where people are experiencing extreme, unjust suffering.
Aid has aimed to build projects that provide long-term solutions to pressing health problems, reduce illiteracy among children, orphans, and youth, and rebuild war-torn communities in South Sudan. As Aid and Care continues to grow in its mission, it will remain as committed as ever to creating vibrant communities. These communities will be where African children ignite hope, secure opportunities, and thrive for prosperity and a better future. It’s the cause on which we were founded 15 years ago, and it’s the one for which we continue to create opportunities every day.
We know it takes the power of money to bring those we serve hope and prosperity for a better future. We encourage donors and supporters to address the serious lack of education, healthcare, and other imperative resources in the most vulnerable communities we serve.
As a team, we are taking a stand and will not rest until we meet all the needs of those experiencing unjust suffering.
